How GO-KOT is Celebrating National Veterans and Military Families Month
National Veterans and Military Families Month
November is National Veterans and Military Families Month! This month is all about honoring and expressing appreciation for the brave men and women and their families. To celebrate National Veterans and Military Families Month, GO-KOT® will be donating 10% of our proceeds to two important causes that are close to our hearts: Three Hots and a Cot and Warrior 180° Foundation.
Three Hots and a Cot
Homeless veterans can be found on the streets of every major city and every state in our nation. The Homeless population in Birmingham, which is where Three Hots and a Cot is based out of, is currently at nearly 3,000 - of which approximately 800 are veterans. There are limited beds available for the entire homeless population and the veterans receive no special treatment.
Three Hots and a Cot was formed by veterans and their mission is to fight veteran homelessness. This is not a homeless shelter, though, it is a “Gateway to Independence.” They offer a variety of services to help military veteran’s transition from life on the streets into a self-sustained lifestyle. Since they opened in 2010, they have aided 1,194 veterans and family members with an 81% success rate!

Warrior 180° Foundation
Warrior 180° Foundation’s main goal is to help prevent Veteran suicide and raise awareness. This is a Christ centered organization that has been established to reach out to military, veterans, first responders and their families with the saving grace of Jesus Christ. They offer teaching and training in local communities, and work alongside these warriors with comfort, support, resources, hope and help for the struggles they are facing.
In addition, Warrior 180° Foundation challenges the church and communities to be faithful in supporting those who have put their lives on the line and supported our country by providing, teaching and training in their local area.
